Tell us about your childhood: I had an okay childhood. I didn’t grow up with a lot of money and there was always a lot of family drama, but my parents were always good to me.

Do you have a nickname? I do not.

When were you introduced to strength training? I was introduced to strength training after I got married and got a little fluffy. I lived in a super small town in western NC. I bought a set of gymnastic rings and I would work out by a creek every day, it was wonderful.

How do strength training and the yoga community play a role in your life? It’s what keeps me happy, when I learned that exercise wasn’t about making yourself do things you hate but instead finding things you love, it changed my life.

What pose do you love the most and why? Cat- cow and cobra. I am admittedly not very experienced in yoga but I love the way these poses make but back feel.

What is your favorite quote? “Pools are great for holding water” -Dave from the movie Hot Rod.
