Where are you from originally? Chattanooga
How long have you lived in Chattanooga? Most of my life with the exception of college
Tell us about your childhood: (I don’t really have much to say for this one)
Do you have a nick name? Not really
When were you introduced to Yoga? I was introduced in college when I took a few classes for credit and it evolved deeply from there when I moved back to Chattanooga and became apart of the yoga community.
How do yoga and the community play a role in your life? It has changed my life and who I am in so many ways. The community has given me solace and support in times of need and I have grown and been shaped by yoga both physically, spiritually, and emotionally. It gives me a moment every day to find myself and take some deep breaths. Out of all the things in my life, I am most grateful for yoga.
What pose do you love the most and why? Upward facing dog. It is always a breath of fresh air in a vinyasa class to open up my chest and throat. Something about it is very soothing to my mind and body.
What is your favorite quote? “You are the universe expressing itself as human for a little while.” – Eckhart Tolle
