Where are you from originally? Ringgold, Ga. But typically when people ask I say Chattanooga, it’s a little more well known.
How long have you lived in Chattanooga? My whole life. But official address wise, just over 2 years.
Tell us about your childhood: I grew up dancing, mainly ballet. You would have found me typically outside, dancing in my roller skates, or playing video games with my brother. I never met a stranger and everyone was my friend. Not much has changed.
Do you have a nick name? Different people had different nicknames for me. Bebop, Jenn-Jenn, Sis, Sandwich, JRudd, and Tina.
When were you introduced to Yoga? I was introduced back in college, but never really had a class till about four years ago at TBA. That was the one I remember the most and continued.
How do yoga and the community play a role in your life? So many people I know do yoga, teach yoga, need more yoga in their life. Yoga can make so many people nervous and yet they still want to try it. When people see there is some form of fun yoga, yoga for beginners, or a setting they don’t feel intimidated by can start new friendships, get them out of t
heir comfort zone, or help them find their new way of life.
What pose do you love the most and why? Recently, pigeon. With the running I am doing more of lately and all the barre classes, my hips and hamstrings have felt like they have needed the love.
What is your favorite quote? “Never Grow Up.”
