Kami Peppers

Where are you from originally? I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and moved five times before residing in Chattanooga with my family in the third grade. 

How long have you lived in Chattanooga? I have lived in Chattanooga for twenty years.

Tell us about your childhood: We moved schools quite a bit, but I had the luxury to experience many different environments. My favorite part of my childhood was being able to live on a farm.

Do you have a nick name? My name is Kameron, but I go by Kami.

When were you introduced to Yoga? I was first introduced to yoga at the age of twenty-two.

Describe your childcare experience. I was a preschool teacher at the Nazarene Daycare, a childcare provider at Chambliss Children’s Home, and also majored in Early Childhood/ Child and Family Studies at UTC.

What appeals to you about taking care of children? I have always found joy in providing care for children. I believe that providing exceptional care for children is one of the most important aspects of life, and after becoming a mother that belief has grown greatly.
